Heather Thomas started using cocaine, but it wasn’t until her casting in “The Fall Guy” in 1981 that her drug problem escalated.
She said “At first I was in a honeymoon stage with the drug. I felt that I was getting a lot for my money. It enabled me to stay up all night and then work all the next day,” she said.
Right after the final episode of the last season of “The Fall Guy” got taped in 1985, her family faked news that her father got hospitalized to get her to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica where they staged an intervention.
Even though Heather had been in denial about her drug addiction for four years, she agreed to enter the hospital’s drug program. “It was a big relief to me, I’d been on a roller coaster, and I wanted to get off. If my family hadn’t intervened, I probably would have gone on my merry way until I lost my job or I died,” she said.
Before Heather became an actress, she had aspirations to write and direct, which led to her attending UCLA Film School from 1976 until 1979, where she studied theater and screenwriting.

She would also Release Death Stone the same year which is a movie about a couple in love who find a strange stone. She would also play Marilyn Monroe that same year in a tv mini series and the role actually moved the actress to tears.
In 1990 Heather would Play in Red Blooded American Girl which is about a young woman who is transformed into a vampire by a virus. The vampire doctor who's treating her hires a young scientist to find a cure. He and the girl fall for each other hard, but she becomes mad from hunger, escapes to wreak havoc on the city. She did not play the female love interest in the The Return Of The Swamp Thing released by Roger Corman, The Love Interest Character Role Actually Went to another Heather. Heather Locklear but Heather Thomas did play in the Syndicated Tv Series of the Swamp Thing. She was in the Movie Hidden Obsession in 1993 and in Against The Law in 1997. She had a brief cameo in My Giant as a Show Girl and her last Movie would be Girltrash: All Night Long. Since she went to school for Writing Heather is now writing With her background in screenwriting, Heather decided to focus on writing and became an activist for groups such as the Amazon Conservatory board and the Rape Foundation.
Heather has said “So when I had about 45 restraining orders out, and I was on everything from a toilet seat cover to an ashtray — and I was in love, and had two little girls — I decided to give it up and write for a while,” she said.
